Debugger functionality
Postby berni » 03 Mar 2017 10:34

Hi
Here are suggestion that will make emIDE much more efficient for debugging embedded applications:
Peripheral Registers window
In this window, it is possible to read peripheral registers. The missing feature is modifying registers.
The Watches window is able to do it, but not Peripheral window.

Watches window information
The location in memory (address) is not shown. This feature is really missing when debugging pointers, arrays, structures, objects ...

In istant watches, it is the same. Just making visible the address information would be greatly useful

Thank you for your attention!

Background: uC STM32F3xx, jlink probe, using libopencm3, language: C
