floating point operations causing hard faults
Postby astronut » 23 Feb 2015 17:24

Being new to gcc I'm running into what I expect is a common problem, at least from a quick web search. When I attempt to do floating point operations I get hard faults using a cortex m3 based part from st micro. There is no floating point hardware on the part. I suspect there is a flag or setting that I've not set yet, but when I try the solutions that I've found in my web search the problem persists. So far I've tried setting the following option flags with no success:

-mfloat-abi=soft
-msoft-float

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
